Dry air entrainment into the mid levels of a thunderstorm can enhance the potential for damaging wind gusts. Moisture being entrained into a storm system can enhance precipitation amounts.\u00a0<\/span><\/p><p><span style=\"font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;\"><strong>EQUIVALENT<b>\u00a0<\/b>POTENTIAL<b>\u00a0<\/b>TEMPERATURE<\/strong>&#8211; The temperature of a parcel of air after all moisture and latent heat is condensed out of an air parcel then descended to the 1000 mb level. Also known as Theta-E<\/span><\/p><p><span style=\"font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;\"><strong>ETA<\/strong>&#8211; &#8220;Eta&#8221; (from Greek) model generated every 12 hours by NCEP<\/span><\/p><p><span style=\"font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;\"><strong>EVAPORATION<\/strong>\u00a0&#8211; the process of a liquid changing into a vapor or gas.<\/span><\/p><p><span style=\"font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;\"><strong>EXTENDED<b>\u00a0<\/b>OUTLOOK<\/strong>\u00a0&#8211; a basic forecast of general weather conditions three to five days in the future.<\/span><\/p><p><span style=\"font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;\"><strong>EXTRAPOLATE<\/strong>&#8211; Determining the value of a meteorological value beyond the bounds of a data sample.<\/span><\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/section>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>E\u00a0 ECMWF\u00a0&#8211; European Centre for Meteorology Forecast model.
