Often lee troughs become organized into mature cyclones as they develop eastward.<\/span><\/p><p><span style=\"font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;\"><strong>LIFTED<b>\u00a0<\/b>INDEX<\/strong>&#8211; The environmental temperature at 500 millibars minus the 500 millibar parcel temperature on a Skew-T diagram. Negative LI values are unstable.<\/span><\/p><p><span style=\"font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;\"><strong>LIGHTNING<\/strong>\u00a0An electrical discharge from a thunderstorm.<\/span><\/p><p><span style=\"font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;\"><strong>LIKELY<\/strong>\u00a0&#8211; In probability of precipitation statements, the equivalent of a 60 or 70 percent chance.<\/span><\/p><p><span style=\"font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;\"><strong>LLJ<\/strong>&#8211; Low Level Jet.
