OhauitiWeather - Observations for Thursday 10 October 2024
Quote from OhauitiWeather on 31 October 2024, 11:50 pm19:21 pm - We had everything you would normally expect with a Thunderstorm this afternoon except the Thunder and Lightning. Dark clouds, drop in Temperature, Torrential Rainfall with various sizes and periods of Hail and afterwards, cool crisp atmosphere, high level lazy cloud and virtually no wind.
19:26 pm - Watched it build up on the Rain Radar, quite localised and just seemed to boil up from almost nothing over about an hour or so between our place in Tauranga and Rotorua. My wife is saying that there is now an amazing sunset here.
19:44 pm - Looks like the remnants of the one that got us are still visible on the earlier of the current Radar Images but it broke up and dissolved just west of us our the Kaimai towards Matamata.
