OhauitiWeather - Observations for Wednesday 23 October 2024

17:13 pm - Just watched the Weather Watch Tuesday and Wednesday Videos, bit different from last night on TV. Quite unpredictable and "Chaotic" over the next 4 - 5 days according to Philip Duncan. Massive High over us at the moment moving off to the NE over the next 3-4 days and getting even bigger and stronger, dragging warm air down over NZ from the tropics. Several areas of Low pressure over the Tasman Sea, Tasmania and lower down seem to be merging off the West Coast of the South Island and covering most of the Tasman Sea over the next 3 days falling apart Sunday, 998 predicted central pressure. The High to the Northeast keeps most of it off the North Island but looks like an associated band of rain will roll over the Island Saturday and a bit early Sunday as it moves away to the SE.

17:42 pm - BayPark Speedway Opening Night Saturday 26th October 2024.  Sorry but Saturday looks like it will be wet most of the day here at this stage.  Reserve day Sunday 27th October 2024, maybe the odd isolated shower, I think.
